Well, the website went 'off air' in early September, 2000 - but I thought I'd resurrect it for the occasion. Below is some info and some 'Highlights' for your delictation.

Info

Where do we start? Pat's 20 Inches (not the size of my dick by the way... even if I wished for it, I believe it would be fairly impractical) was a website I had between 1999 and 2000 while on a placement year in London. Two years previously I was in Sheffield doing my degree, and a year after that I was in Sheffield doing my degree too. So that's why they call it a sandwich year, I guess.

The reason there's a TV programme made featuring myself and my (then) girlfriend Steph is that we were being harassed by the media quite often anyway - the Student House website which I started a year before featuring four of us live on the Internet with 6 cameras (sadly all over now) had picked up some attention. Well, the media kept with us and when they saw me singing in my car on camera and after chatting to Steph about our relationship and her online existence, they decided we were perfect for a series of documentaries they were making.

The production 'team' that we saw, Fran (director) and Emily (researcher) were with us (myself and Steph) during July 2000 for three weeks.

We both signed a 'release' form to the BBC which meant they could paint a picture of us any which way they please - and also we would not be allowed to see the footage/finished article until everyone else who watched it in the country did.

Now Steph and I have both graduated university with degrees in Computing Networks and Communications, and both still live in Sheffield - though in different flats now. We tend to meet up a few times a month for lunch and nice social things.

So there you go, far more information than you needed, but umm... you read it... so there.
